FAQS
-
How do I pick the depth for my PR-4000 rack?
The 16” depth and the 24” depth four-post racks are great space-saving options, with the ability for you to work outside the rack. The 30” deep four-post rack is the standard size and most popular. The 41” depth is spacious with plenty of working space and ideal for lifters with a decent amount of forward lean in their squats. The deeper rack adds stability to your workouts; bolt it down or add the Rear Base Stabilizer and you don’t have to. However, if you're using the Iso Arms, Spotter Arms, or Globe Pull-Up Bar, you do need to bolt your rack down, even with the Rear Base Stabilizer, regardless of your rack's depth. With those attachments, you also need to add Front Foot Extensions to keep the rack stable.
-
Do I have to add a Logo Plate Crossmember to the PR-4000?
Yes, the top rear Logo Plate Crossmember is required. It serves as an anchor point for future attachments, and it also adds rigidity and side-to-side stability for the power rack.
-
What are the differences between the PR-4000 and the PR-5000 power racks? The PR-4000 rack’s pinholes are 5/8”. It has 1” hole spacing throughout the bench zone and 2” elsewhere for a precise liftoff height. The PR-5000 has 2” hole spacing throughout with 1” pinholes. On the PR-5000, you can achieve 1” hole spacing on the entire rack with our Lowered J-Cups.
The PR-4000 has an impressive attachment “ecosystem”, but the PR-5000 has more attachment compatibility than any other power rack.
The PR-4000 has laser-cut numbers every five holes making it easy to line up attachments, including J-cups and safeties. The PR-5000 has laser-cut numbers on every hole making it easy to line up attachments.

What is the number one reason to consider REP’s racks versus another brand?
Many attachments are available now and more are in development. A rack’s attachment ecosystem is one of the biggest reasons why you would choose one versus another. When you purchase a power rack, you’re buying into the company’s ability to come out with new attachments that add additional functionality over the life of your power rack. Our engineering team is hard at work developing new attachments every year, and we believe this is one of our biggest differentiators.
-
How do REP's racks compare to others on the market?
Here's a look at how REP equipment compares with others on the market. Plus, here are some things to consider when comparing power racks.
-
Do I need to bolt my PR-4000 power rack down?
Yes. If you add the Rear Base Stabilizer onto a 41" depth PR-4000, you don't have to.
-
Do you need Front Foot Extensions?
If you're using the 4-post 16” configuration, the Iso Arms, Spotter Arms, or Globe Pull-Up Bar, you do need to add Front Foot Extensions to keep the rack stable.
-
Can I add weight horns to a 4-post rack?
Yes but be sure that your aren't placing them in the way of where your attachments would be placed.
-
Are there pre-selected PR-4000 Power Rack options?
